TATTOO AFTERCARE

  • Remove any bandage after 2-3 hours

  • Using clean hands, wash the area gently with non-scented antibacterial soap and warm water, making sure to remove all excess ointment, blood, and ink.

  • Pat dry with a clean towel. DO NOT SCRUB

  • Apply a very thin layer of ointment for 4-7 days. Wash every time before applying ointment

  • After 4-7 days or when the tattoo begins to peel, you can apply a non-scented lotion and continue to wash regularly. It can take 2-3 weeks for the tattoo to settle

  • NO SUN, SWIMMING, OR SOAKING, until the tattoo is clear and fully healed. (This is typically around 2 weeks)

  • NO PICKING OR SCRATCHING. Try to only touch the tattoo while cleaning and applying aftercare

Aftercare FAQs

  • Unscented antibacterial soap! Brands like Dove, Dial, and Neutrogena have good and affordable options

  • Here at the studio, we use Vegan VitaliTree Salve, which you can purchase after your tattoo if needed.

    Another common antibacterial ointment would be Aquaphor!

  • Do not pop them, continue to clean and monitor the bumps and contact your artist if you have more questions!

  • 5-7 days to peel and 2-3 weeks to be completely healed
